Since Renessaince times the seven deadly sins was a popular theme among European artists of the time. The seven deadly sins have long been a source of inspiration for writers and artists, from medieval works such as Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, to modern works such as the film Se7en and the manga/anime series Fullmetal Alchemist.

“SALIGIA” is an abbreviation based on the first letters in Latin of the seven deadly sins: superbia, avaritia, luxuria, invidia, gula, ira, acedia. Basically its the seven deadly sins contemporary christian guide. Each spread represents a sin by the means of Maurizio Cattelan photography and my collage. It is a contemporary approach to the old religious topic.
